About Me

I offer high quality professional psychological services in a child-friendly and empathetic manner in order to maximize a client’s potential. My services provide children, their families and schools with pragmatic and applicable information and solutions in order to foster a client’s emotional well-being, the development of positive behaviors and academic success.

Educational Background

I received my training in Germany at the University of Constance where I studied clinical psychology for six years. Throughout my training, I had the opportunity to delve deeply into the theoretical and practical aspects of psychology. As part of the program, I completed an eight month practicum in a public school in Calgary where I  had the opportunity to gain experience working with a range of learning disabled and emotionally vulnerable students. Based on these experiences I focused my studies on the neurological substrates of learning disabilities in the latter stages of my degree.

Recent Experience

Upon my immigration to Canada in 1998, I worked as a provisional psychologist within the Calgary Board of Education and the Calgary Counseling Centre and then chartered as a psychologist in 1999. I have been a registered psychologist in Alberta since that time and as such my services are covered under many healthcare plans

I obtained a full time position with the Calgary Board of Education in the fall of 1999 and commenced work in private practice in 2003. My work within the Calgary Board, and within a wide range of other schools and private clients has allowed me to gain experience with an array of different abilities and disabilities experienced by children, adolescents and young adults.
